I had the tiniest little bug in my studio last week.... she was five pounds of pure love. Just the littlest sleepy bundle. She was an awesome model. She let me pose her and roll her and put on hats, off hats... she was great! I know its quite a big share but she was just so great to photograph... we had a wonderful time together!

How do you make photos fun for teens? Put some coffee where your mouth is! Its getting warmer and more lovely out in the outside world... I'm just about ready for some photo outings! This in between season is not always a beautiful time of year. There is dirty snow laying about, dirt and gravel on the roads and bleak skies over naked trees.... Or we can make the best of our indoor options... Like a trip to Starbucks! Enjoy!!!
I'm not sure if I ever blogged these photos back in 2008. To be honest, I'd be surprised if I did. We were very transitional that year moving back from Alberta and all. In any respect I captured some of the most delightful images in this apple orchard. How I long for the warmth of a September day...
Yesterday morning Cam came for a little photo shoot
in the studio. At first he was a bit shy but we chatted some and he
warmed right up. He also brought his Mickey Mouse to help him out. Just a sweet sweet little character he is. How much
do you love his orange jeans?! Way to go Mom!!! I'm delighted to call

I had one of my fave families over for a family shoot last weekend. We had previously seen another photographers idea of close modern minimalist family photos that had inspired us. One of my absolute favorites was one with a black drop and a white forefront for contrast. The family was just awesome to work with and I think we got some real family gems!
About 3 weeks from now all the little ones will be exchanging cute little greetings of love and kisses with each other and their family. This two and a half year old will certainly have some sassy modern valentine's day cards to give to her buddies!
I had the best fortune to have one of the youngest babies in my studio. Lux was just 4 days old last weekend when she came to grace my studio. You can tell very well she was a full term baby as she was wide awake and happy to play for most of her session. Eye contact from a 4 day old babe? You got it!
