Naomi + Damien August 26, 2011

I had the pleasure of capturing the beautiful ceremony and reception for Naomi & Damien this week. They ceremony was well thought out, intricate and moving. I was very lucky to be there just to capture all their smiles and joy on this special day. Here are just a few of my faves. <3

Beauty in the vineyard

There's always time for a quick photo shoot in the valley. We never have to look hard for lovely places to shoot. Red Rooster winery is a perfect example. Just after the sun went down we had wonderful golden light.

Natural light

I've decided that I need to spend more time on honing my craft. Natural light can be such a wonderful medium but I need to get out there a little more and experiment. Good thing I have such a lovely and happy to assist little model.

Baby Q only 5 days old!!!

I felt badly that I had missed the call for some late pregnancy maternity photos for his Momma but I did have the great fortune of being able to capture this precious little man who was such a good model for his photo shoot. He even smiled for us a few times!

Pretty in Purple

I don't know about you guys but sometimes do you ever look at your offspring and just feel a gush of warmth and smiles? This is such a wonderful age. Everything is delightful and sweet and the conversations are so inquisitive and pure. It just warms my heart. This is why we have children.



This kitten is an absolute doll. It will hang out with her most of the time without complaint. It doesn't matter if she's watching tv, playing computer games or for photos.

First post of a new year

As many photographers are... I'm still working with the light. I had seen a large canvas painting at Moxies restaurant in which there was a lot of black negative space with dramatic overhead lighting which was my inspiration. Here are a few faves from Saturday.

Someone sweet Turns 8!

It was so cold and yucky outside on this December day, but we pulled up alongside a big picture window and played pictures anyway. Natural light is often more difficult to work with but when you get it right... watch out.

Naomi + Damien = Engaged!

I had the pleasure of shooting these two love birds yesterday. It was a chilly fall day but they were all smiles. And boy do they know how to have fun - always goofing around!

I'm not sure why sock monkeys have become so popular ... and I'm not sure that I care. All I know is that they make wonderful photos! Look at all my sock monkeys!
