Here comes the parade....

The parade of beautiful babies! So far I think they're all girls! I had the chance to meet a real beauty yesterday. She's tiny as can be but so well mannered. We were able to play pictures for 2 hours and she slept the whole time! What a super model. Here she is born 6 days ago at 5 lbs 4 oz.

Its... a baby bump!

I had the cutest couple for maternity photos this weekend. Right now she's at 35 weeks and we should get some new, fresh, cute, curled up, brand new baby photos before I head off on vacation late March!

Today's winner

Today was a very snowy cold day. A good one to stay inside. To occupy our time we decided to get a jump start on Valentine's Day. By far the cutest one of the day was this. He just wanted to play with his transformer but he smiled brilliantly to get the photos over and done!

Sparkling tree tops

After the few snowy days we've had the sun came out and made everything sparkle. This magestic tree is in our back yard and I caught this one right off the back porch.

New haircuts

A new year is often a time for a new look, a fresh start for a great year. These two little girlies got new haircuts today and aren't they cute? Lots of little layers and bangs and big smiles.

In with the new....

I just got in the evening from a nice dinner with friends from work. We were wishing a colleague fairwell. I know all to well what it felt like to be the person departing.... it still weighs on me.

Well on a lighter note ~ out with the old ~ in with the new.... is it just me or do you know lots of women who are expecting right now?.... here's one of my favorite maternity images from last year. Can't wait for all the glowing that is coming up this spring.

Quiet Weekend

Just a quiet weekend around here. Not much going on. Grocery shopping, studying, sleeping. I had found some cute scarves at the mall this week... no one was too interested in playing with me, but I think this scarf is going to get lots of use in years so come. The colors are one thing, but the texture in black and white is another! Its gonna be a great scarf.

Babies... babies!!!

I'm not sure what happens when the air gets a chill... but I've now had confirmation that I have 4 newborns enroute for pictures this spring! Although I don't have any newborn shots from the last few weeks here are a few of my all time favorites.

The newest NHL hopeful

We had a delightful visit tonight from a little guy who is crazy about hockey! Its all about the sports for him which I find quite amusing in a house full of daughters. He entertained us on the backdrop for a while and then he was off in search of cookies. I know that Mom is a bag fan of the "high key" look so it was great for me to practise with the white backdrop which I have yet to master.

Finally!

The life of a photographer's child must be tough! I hear about it all the time from this one in particular. I would say the last 5 years of her life have been well documented... but we're meeting with more and more resistance all the time! Today I just really needed a hand with my high key set up. Hope your having a great day. I'll be back to the day job tomorrow.

Family time...

Its so nice to have more than just a few days off work at a time. Its amazing what one person can get done without having to go to work.... and its amazing the projects that we put off because we just don't have the time. Last night we hosted a sleep over at our house. Of course the two kids didn't want to play pictures because they were too busy giggling and plotting... but I do have some gorgeous photos on my hard drive already.

At the end of the driveway

At the end of our driveway there is a field. I'm not sure what they grow (we never learned stuff like that in the Okanagan) but it gets bailed at the end of the year. One of the youngest's favorite walks is into the field and to the bales. Today we got most of the way there and she was ready to go back. The outside temperature was about -12 C. She had pink cheeks and lots of fun while we were out but we didn't make it more than half an hour.

Another year is set to close in a little under 10 hours. The year ahead looks full of promise. There are new opportunities, new challenges and new adventures.... but can we keep the blog up to date?

Okay so we're averaging one post a month... I'd say there's room for improvement. How about a picture of the weather? Its not very nice out this time of year, its getting warmer sure, but everything is just so blah. Muddy, yucky, dirty... Well should go and do some painting I guess.

Cold dreary winter

Seems its awfully overcast and dreary these days. Not much to write about other than the constant house reno's going on. We've chisled down the ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen and taken down the cabinets. Once that's all done we'll be on to flooring. Ceramic or hardwood, that is the question. Till next time.

Boring boring

Time off work is always fun, but I think I prefer summer time off. In the winter, this is boring. People actually can update their blogs, that's what happens. Maybe I'll demo a room in the house. Which room have I not reno'd yet... mmmm.. the laundry room. That sounds like a good project. I'll keep you updated.

I know, I know. Its been a long time since my last blog.

But I've had a hard time finding the time to take the pictures to post.




What's been chewing up my time... well work mainly... the house a bit. So here we go. Christmas at the coast, funny that's where I left off. The scenes were green, which is odd for the holidays, but lots of food and lots of family. 6.4 lbs of food evidently. LOL
