Bailey and Ryan Summerland Strawberry Farm Wedding

August 31st was a lovely day to get married! Bailey and Ryan got married at the Summerland Strawberry farm (Grandparents) and what a beauty of a day it was!

The Grooms-men hung these white fluffy ornaments in the trees the night before the wedding... how stunning did they turn out?!  It just gives that added extra oomph in the photos!  I loved it!

Alexis and Garrett an Elm Tree Farm Wedding Oliver BC

On a very hot day in August, these two joined their families together in love. It was such a pleasure to be a part of the small and intimate ceremony. By the end of the day I was sure I was a part of the family! What a wonderful day it was! These are just a few of my favorite images from the day. Last count there are 850 pictures going onto CD for this couple to enjoy forever.  Here are a few of my personal faves...

Not to worry, there's more wedding season yet!

Father's Day

Since I'm clearly catching up on my blog tonight - perhaps I should share a shoot that we did in June that I'm especially proud of.  It's a bit unusual but it worked out so well.  Shelly wanted to capture the men in her family in a photoshoot and so she arranged this Father's Day fiesta!  It was raining earlier in the afternoon but then the clouds parted and we had this... pure perfection.  Who wants boring blue skies?

I had superman in my studio!

Oh, yes its true... Clarke Kent then Superman were in my studio... or at least Noah was very sure that was the character he was portraying!

It's the magic of childhood.  Who are we adults to get in the way?!

Baby Naomi...

Naomi was a few weeks old when she came for her shoot but none the less, we got her!  We got her awake and sleeping and wrapped up in all her fresh baby goodness... so sweet.  She reminds me of her brother a few years ago.  <3 p="">

Summerland Orchard Wedding

On the first day of August I was able to spend the day with Corin and Jesse who were joining their two families together in love.  The wedding they designed was so elegant and beautiful and the storm clouds made a spectacular backdrop for their photos!  Enjoy some of my faves from the day!  (Click on the photos to get a full screen view)

Evening Sunlight in the Okanagan Apple Orchard

I love the orchard up the road from my house... its such a fun place to go for a photo shoot.  It doesn't have to be a big ordeal and with kids that's the key.  Keep it fun so they'll want to do it again!

"Here sister, if I lift you up higher you can reach the apple!"

Don't these two look like they are cooking a up a plan?

And then right at the end of our adventures... we heard a thumping through the orchard... Jessa says to me "Shhhhh!"  and we looked and a deer was running right through so we followed him for a bit!
